My mother's older brother, Capt. John Dickson, gave his life in France. Thank you for remembering him and all the others.

great cause, every school needs to spend more time on teaching our young about our founding fathers and that freedom is not free.

Dear George, thank you for your continuing service to our country. Your Let Freedom Ring documentary is one of the best WWII documentaries I have seen. My grandfather, Leno Belarde, saw action in the European Theater after D-Day, from his stories and the all the documentaries I have seen, I still can not imagine what those young men went through. All I can do is help spread thier stories and never forget what they did for the world. Thank you once again.

My father, Troy L. Killian, entered the U.S. Army as a 19 year old in Feb.1943. He landed in Cherbourg, France shortly after D-Day and fought throughout France,Belgium, and Germany. He was on the way back to the U.S. to prepare for an invasion of Japan when the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Thank God Harry Truman made the right decision. Otherwise, many of us might never have been born. My father never talked much about the war. I'm certain it was because he learned firsthand to hate war of any kind.
